Nice those vintage Westerns (older than we are)! Great colors in this one. It even showed a small red blood oatch on one of the shot men. I must admit the no-holes-no-blood ethics from those days now fail to excite me much (like playing cowboys and indians when we were young).
I agree with both of you - the blood isn't convincing. Then again, it was rare to have blood in movies back then so at least they tried! And I was amazed when I looked at the imdb page that this was made in 1948 - I was expecting the late 50s/early 60s. So it's not bad at all for its time.

ReplyDeleteThis is definitely old! The blood doesn't look convincing, but like shooting men of their horses.
