The Last Challenge [444]

  1. A real good one there Gary and you sure know how to pick out some of the good parts. Well, I'm going on what you've always done in the past since this is yet another movie I don't remember seeing. Of course, I'm a sucker for cute, youngish guys wearing chaps and this one was near-perfect. The saloon shootout early-on was nice and I especially liked the good front view after the next shooting at 2:10. Later, at 3:18, there's another good straight-on view that also shows his chaps and that nice gun belt he's wearing. Maybe the best was near the end at 8:38 in the saloon when he gets shot. That was excellent... the expression on his face and the slow rotation to face the camera, giving us a good look at his face, those sexy chaps and gun belt. Soooooooo hot. Thanks, Gary.

Oh, as a side note/question, was this one shot in Joshua Tree National Park? It would have bee a National Monument back then or maybe not even that. Since I've spent lots of time in some of those areas, it's fun to see if I can pick out any landmarks. Couldn't see anything specific in this one, but it sure looked like Joshua Tree.

    1. Thanks Phil. Glad to show you movies you haven't heard of. And when the action is alright it's a double win. A young hot cowboy indeed.

  2. A good one. I loved (or is it lusted after) Chad Everett, and loved his gun-down at the end (though I would have liked it better had he grabbed his belly and spent more time dying). Thanks, Gary.

Kid Bronco, according to imdb.com, the movie was shot in four places......Old Tucson, Arizona, Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument in Aja, Arizona, Sabino Canyon, Arizona.........and Joshua Tree, so you are right.

    1. Hi DIno, I go with you that the time dying could have been much longer. Can't take look enough, special when there are good close-ups of the dying cowboys.

  3. Thanks, Dino. Yes, I agree that it would have been even better if he had grabbed for his stomach when shot and stayed on his feet a little longer. Once on the floor, I would have loved to see him writhe around a little as well.
