For such an old movie, it sure holds up well.....the battle sequences are stunning....the explosions...everything about this movie is outstanding. Thanks.
I think it's almost impossible to get a clear view on the production of this movie in that era. No CGI, no hi-tech gadgets, just plain acting and real people. And that with a budget of only $1 million.
I really liked these scenes and I agree that it has stood up well over the years. And that was some pretty serious machine gun action there... the gunner just kept mowing 'um down. Very erotic.
According to IMDB they used about 2000 extras. Unbelievable to manage so many people. The action is excellent. And indeed some great action with the machine gun.
