Thanks Gary. There was a nice variety of action there including some good machine gun kills. I especially liked the scene at the beginning where the long knife is the weapon and it's shown being pulled out of the victim. It's always sexy to see how the struggling kill goes limp in the arms of the victor and is then goes limp and is allowed to slide to the ground.
You mentioned how this had been blocked on Youtube. Wonder why? anyway, I noticed that the video clip went black near the end, but the audio was still there. Was that Youtube's doing? phil
Hi Phil, Youtube has contracts with a lot of studios, to allow users usage of clip of movies of that studio. Some contracts are only valid for some countries. Other studios don't have contracts and demand that Youtube blocks all videos with parts of their movies. This can happen at any time, not only while uploading. This clip has been online since May 2010 and was blocked two days ago. The problem with the video going black at the end has nothing to do with Youtube. I see the video until the end. This is one of my favourite war films ever. It is up close and personal, in your face action all the way through - and very realistic. And one of the first movies (made in 1977 I think) that didn't have the Germans as one dimensional goose-stepping Nazis.

DeleteMy favorite scene is when the soldier is stabbed by a bayonet and then shot in his belly! Love that! Too bad it didn't last longer, though.
