Gotta love the two scenes where the dudes get nailed by a guy who's really good at throwing a longknife! Great effects and editing, from the muscular throw to the decisive "thuck" of the strike to the victims reacting to the blades driven into them. I'd like to think the guys felt a little pleasure with their pain. ;-)
Liked? An understatement, man! I gotta believe that a few men genuinely do experience arousal and delight in dying so seductively. The pain-pleasure dynamic is paradoxical and complex. I like to envision those guys thinking to themselves that taking a long-knife in a dramatic fight is the best way for a man to die. The thrill of seeing a blade embedded in the chest or gut has to trigger shock, surprise, amazing pain - and amazing pleasure induced by penetration.
And imagine they had to redo the same scene over and over until the director was okay with the result. It would have been hard times for me. That's why it would have been great to be an extra in such a movie.
