  1. Thanks, Gary. Love western movies with good gunplay and this one did have some. You caught the best parts. Good work there. Not being a fan of John Wayne, he was more of a detraction than an asset for me, but hey, you're not responsible for the casting, haha. One thing that seemed odd for what I assume was not a budget production was where they did and didn't show blood. In some places the bloody bullet holes looked great and appropriate. But in others they totally missed an opportunity. For example, near the beginning there's that excellent view through the rifle scope where the guy is trying to climb over the fence. He gets nailed in the back (with a rifle, no less) and not a drop of blood when we see him go down. Strange. Why would there be inconsistencies like that? There were other spots like that as well. But very enjoyable overall because of the spots where there were bullet holes and blood. Of course I understand that lots of people are interested in more important things such as the story, the acting and overall quality of a movie. Sure, that makes sense. But in a western it's all about bullet holes and blood for me with some hot-looking young cowboys playing the roles. Ah, dream on you say, haha.

    1. Thank you Phil for you comment. Maybe it was an choice of the movie studio to not show the blood too much. Guess that your interest with the movie does not match with that of the director. Too bad because I like it too when a lot of hot-looking cowboys get shot and end dead on the ground in a nice position.

  2. Gary, this one is a John Wayne classic, mainly because it costarred his son Patrick and Robert Mitchum's son Chris, both hot and sexy. It also features one of my favorite cowboy stuntmen, Dean Smith, as one of the bad guys. Thanks.

    1. Wow, that you even have a favorite cowboy stuntman!!! You must be good in recognizing people. Some hot and sexy cowboys in this one indeed. Thank you for commenting.

    2. Yes, Dean Smith is the cowboy who gets a knife thrown into his chest by James Caan in Eldorado. He worked in lots of John Wayne films. I read his autobiography several years ago (he's still alive, last I checked), and he's from my area of Texas.....owns a ranch north west of here.
