  1. Stuntmen (and women) are not known for their acting, writing, producing or editing skills, and this is a good example of that. What they do tend to excel in is action, and this has lots of that in abundance. Thanks, Gary. My favorite scene is the fake toilet man who gets a belly blast as he tries to escape. He dies far too quickly for my taste, but it's still hot.

    1. Thank you Dino. The score for this movie on IMDB says it all. But I like the action also, like you. Almost every kill is visible for such a short time as if they wanted as many kills as possible.

  2. Good points that you both make. I did get a kick out of the odd assortment of characters and the long hair. Shows when some of these were made. In the fake toilet shooting we at least got a nice, although brief, look at the pattern the shotgun made there at close range. Besides wanting to satisfy my fetish for leather and seeing cute young guys, close ups of bullet holes are the next best thing and there was some of that here.

Ah yes, with your fine editing skills, here would be the perfect killing scene for me: Naturally, the two young cowboys would be wearing leather. Their leather shirts or vests are skintight and they are on horseback. The bounty hunters have them pinned in both front and back. BOOM... we see the violent recoil of the big rifle with it's powerful scope. THUD... the first one takes it in the back, square between the shoulder blades. There's a spray of blood. Maybe you would insert a slow motion part there? The fucker would throw his arms out and arch his back as his butt is lifted up in the saddle. We'd see the entrance wound and the way the leather was puckered around the edge of the poker-chip sized hole. We'd get a glimpse of a couple pulses of blood being pumped out of the hole as he rolls out of the saddle. His buddy on the other horse would momentarily stop as if trying to decide whether to go back and help or make a run for it. The other bounty hunter, stationed in front of him, makes the decision for him. Another BOOM. This one is more sadistic. With his scoped rifle could have pulverized the kid's heart, but instead he decides to give the fucker a new bellybutton. There's a SLPAT sound as the heavy, flat-nosed hunk of lead slams into the leather, stretched as tight as a drum over the nineteen year-old's hard abdominal muscles. His legs stiffen and his boots press down in the stirrups as he convulses over at the waist and drapes himself over the saddle horn. Damn, the saddle horn is pressing up into the spot where he took the slug. His boots are no longer in the stirrups and he tries to stay in the saddle by wrapping his arms around the horse's neck. The horse continues to move forward a short distance and we finally see the gut-shot kid roll off the animal. More slow motion please. The camera pans back and we see the two kills sprawled out in the dirt. The one with the new bellybutton can be seen thrashing around for a moment, kicking up a little dust. The sadistic bounty hunter watches for a moment as he fondles himself. Then he jacks another round into the rifle and takes aim. Another boom. The kid who was kicking up the dust jerks and then lies still.

Sooooooo, Gary, I'm sure there's a high quality film out there that shows this, right? Looking forward to seeing your edit of it, hehe.

    1. If only, Phil! That sounds like my kinda scene. What amazes me about this film is that is made by stuntmen and women, yet the stunts are way too short, and not nearly graphic enough. Everyone gets shot and just drops. Even the hot man in the fake toilet scene just falls back dead instead of spending some time writhing and clawing at his belly before succumbing to his wounds. Oh well.

  3. Yeah, I agree. Still, the editing you do on these helps a lot. Appreciate that. In many shooting/action films it seems to me that they try to pack in too many of the stunt shots and, like you say, don't spend enough time on each scene.
